NEW ROMNEY NEWS
Hi Kent, the local charity that works with the deaf and
hard-of-hearing community throughout Kent, will be playing
a leading role in a recruitment and information day taking
place in New Romney this Saturday, 1 July.
Hi Kent will be aiming to recruit more volunteers,
especially to help cover its clinics throughout the Romney
Marsh area. The charity will also be providing information
on deafness and demonstrating a range of assistive equipment
such as special telephones, door entry systems, smoke
alarms and conversation aids that can make a huge differenece
to deaf and hard of hearing people.
The event, which has been organised by Shepway Volunteer
Bureau, is taking place at the Methodist Church Hall,
High Street, New Romney, this Saturday 1 July, from 12.30
to 4.00pm.
