A Service of Dedication for the new Chapels of Rest at Firmager
Funeral Service took place on Saturday 20 May 2006.
The service was conducted by Reverend Martin Dale, Reverend
Phil Rowe, Deacon Ray Partridge, Sister Sue Roberts, Focal
Ministers Peter Firth and John Rees.
In attendance was The Mayor of New Romney Councillor Clive
Wire, The Lady Mayoress and The Deputy Mayor Councillor
Sally Maycock.
The new premises, located at Fairfield Road, New Romney
have been completely refurbished and equipped with the most
up to date facilities enabling the staff to provide a standard
of service and level of care of the highest possible order.
Bert Firmager, who has been conducting funerals in and around
Romney Marsh for some 45 years, said "We are a small
family business, based on old fashioned values and principles
and we constantly try to improve our service to our clent
families. These new premises, along with our premises in
the High Street, demonstrate our committment to serve the
local community".
