NEW
ROMNEY NEWS
The New Romney Traders' Association has taken on
a new lease of life, and will be holding its next meeting
at 5.30pm on Tuesday,
10 February in the Romney Grill.
It follows the association's annual meeting when
David Bourne was elected chairman. Spencer Rolfe is the
vice-chairman, Sally Waitston is secretary, and Malcolm
Salt and Jill Line are joint treasurers.
It was the first time for two years that officers have been
elected, and Mr Bourne paid tribute to the work done by
Mr Salt to keep the association going during a difficult
period.
Traders have been praised by the Mayor of New Romney, Councillor
Barbara Palmer, for the success of the late-night shopping
in the town. |
