Local representatives of the Green Party
say they welcome the announcement by Malcolm Wicks, Energy
Minister, that the Wind Farm for Romney Marsh will go ahead.
Dr Hazel Dawe, Campaigns Officer of Kent Green Party and
parliamentary candidate for Folkestone, Hythe and Romney
Marsh in the last general election, said: "We are delighted
that the Government has accepted our view that the Little
Cheyne Court Wind Farm posed no significant environmental
threat.
"This decision confirms Kent's importance as a source
of renewable energy for the South East."
