Nearly 70 schemes are currently being worked on to improve
New
Romney High Street.
The work is being done by Marsh Forward which aims
to regenerate the town and surrounding areas. Co-ordinator
Jason Martin says that although the organisation can not
support individual traders, it can support the Traders'
Association.
As well as working with the town council and the district
council to improve the street furniture, Marsh Forward is
also promoting local produce such as lamb which is reared
locally by David Bourne.
Mr Martin said money is available for fascia improvements
for a variety of buildings, from medieval to modern. He
is based at the Romney Resource Centre. |
